Music in the Park
Music in the Park is a community project. My intent is to schedule recurring times that music will be performed in Harmon Park, and encourage community members to come socialize, recreate and share food. I will create posters for the event as well as prepare food for the potluck (to ensure that the musicians are fed). Rather than be successful with a single well-planned and highly-publicized event, I would like to build interest and attendance in the event over time and allow the attendees (including me) to democratically share planning duties. The idea is to have this event represent the cohesiveness of the residents making up this community.
UPDATE (spring 2018): Due to inactivity on my part, this project has been suspended. I'd love to do it, but there are plenty of music projects happening in Twin Falls, and I believe my time is better spent working with an existing event than creating one from the ground up.
